WOCN10 CWUL 191811 Special weather statement issued by Environment Canada Montréal at 02:11 PM EDT Tuesday 19 July 2011. ...Another heat wave expected as of mid-week... Weather synopsis Beginning tomorrow, a warm front from the Great Lakes will move into Quebec. Behind the front, winds will become southwesterly and usher in a warm and humid air mass. For now, it seems that this situation will persist until the end of week over a great part of the southwest and the centre of the province. The maximum temperatures over these regions could exceed the 30 degrees, as the humidex values will climb generally between 35 and 40. These values could even exceed the 40 mark over areas more to the south Thursday. As this hot spell air settles itself over the province of Quebec, the probability of thunderstorms will increase and some could be strong. This bulletin is only an advisory notice and the public is advised to follow present and future warnings issued by Environment Canada.
