Severe Thunderstorm Warning Severe Weather Bulletin issued by Environment Canada at 8:58 PM EDT Monday 12 September 2011.
Watches/warnings in effect for northern Ontario... Severe Thunderstorm Warning for: =new= Wawa - Pukaskwa park =new= White River - dubreuilville =new= agawa - Lake Superior Park Manitouwadge - Hornepayne Kapuskasing - Hearst - Smooth Rock Falls fraserdale - Pledger lake Chapleau - missinaibi Lake. A line of thunderstorms that produced a wind gust of 93 km/h at Geraldton early this evening continues to move across Eastern Lake Superior extending across Hornepayne through Hearst. It is moving eastwards up to 90 km/h. Local wind gusts to 100 km/h, intense lightning and torrential downpours are likely in these thunderstorms. Severe thunderstorms are imminent or occurring in the area. These storms may produce large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall. Remember that some severe thunderstorms can also produce tornadoes. Monitor weather conditions and take immediate safety precautions if threatening weather approaches.
