The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
southeastern Smith County in central Mississippi...
northeastern Covington County in southeast Mississippi...
northwestern Jones County in southeast Mississippi...

* until 1100 am CDT

* at 1016 am CDT...National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 15 miles south
of Taylorsville moving north at 30 mph.

* The tornado will otherwise remain over mainly rural areas of the
indicated counties.
