Tornado Warning!!!!for southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

...A Tornado Warning remains in effect until 1015 am CDT for southern
Tangipahoa...northern Livingston and southern St. Helena parishes...

At 919 am CDT...National Weather Service meteorologists continued to
detect a tornado. This tornado was located 6 miles south of
Montpelier...or 11 miles southwest of Amite...moving west at 50 mph.

Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to
Walker...Denham Springs and Watson

A few other circulations around southern Tangipahoa. One other
circulation will be moving into Tangipahoa towards Robert.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The safest place to be during a tornado is under a workbench or other
piece of sturdy furniture. Seek shelter on the lowest floor of the
building in an interior hallway or room such as a closet. Use
blankets or pillows to cover your body and always stay away from
windows.

If in Mobile homes or vehicles... evacuate them and get inside a
substantial shelter. If no shelter is available... lie flat in the
nearest ditch or other low spot and cover your head with your hands.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 am CDT Saturday morning
for southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
