Thunderstorms that are developing over Montana have the potential to produce tornadoes as they cross the border into Alberta this evening. The risk of severe weather is expected to persist into the overnight hours. A low pressure system will bring heavy rain to the foothills tonight and tomorrow. Amounts of 50 to 80 millimetres are expected to fall by Wednesday evening.
