Public Weather Alerts for Saskatchewan,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://weather.gc.ca/warnings/index_e.html?prov=sk

Map of SaskatchewanSpecial weather statement in effect for:      and thunderstorms tonight and Monday giving the possibility of locally heavy rainfall amounts.
A weather system crossing the Rockies today will bring some scattered light showers or isolated thunderstorms to parts of Southern Saskatchewan today.

More importantly though is this disturbance is expected to rapidly strengthen as it moves through the northern plain states tonight and Monday. As a result, the rain will intensify tonight and persist through most of Monday.

Rainfall totals for tonight and Monday will generally be in the 15 to 30 mm range. However, there is a chance that embedded thunderstorms will give locally heavy rainfall totals of 50 mm or more. It is impossible to predict this far in advance exactly where these heavy thunderstorms will track. Environment Canada meteorologists will continue to closely monitor the development of this weather system and provide more detailed forecasts through the remainder of the long weekend.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at www.weatheroffice.gc.ca.
